Pakistan Orphan Ministry
Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment. (NASB) 1 Corinthians 1:10
This beautiful verse displaying Christian unity is so fitting in describing our new ministry in Pakistan. At present I am helping in caring for 39 orphans, a Christian family of 6 adults and an effective outreach to several isolated places in Pakistan. I can't tell you how much joy these people bring to me and I am hearing from them that the kids ask everyday when they can see and talk again with "Uncle Ray".
The Pakistani Christian family is filled with a fervent love for Jesus Christ and God's word, this Christian family is doctrinally sound and it is such a blessing to talk regularly with them. We use Skype and it is usually a clear enough connection to use the video streaming. This way the kids see me throw them kisses and what a joy to see them "throw them back". I have sent 20 big bags of clothes, toys, books, Christian materials and many other useful things. To date, they have received 12 of the big bags. There are 8 more bags in the next shipment. I checked and the bags "are still on the water".
Mostly girls, it is so important to protect these 39 Pakistani orphans. We work hard in teaching them the word of God, keep them safe from society and yet it is so much fun to see them all in one big house. It reminds me of when I had all my 10 Chinese children in one household. Pray for protection. This is very unusual in a country where Islam is so prevalent. I send money regularly through Western Union and I am the main supporter for this special ministry.
Besides teaching them through one of the women translating, the kids are also learning English. The family wants me to work on setting up a Christian school. Seeing they are Christians born in a Christian family (They are all born again and clear on that issue) I always share a bible portion and the lady translates. I love to see these kids respect the word of God and have a true love for God and each other. They also pray for many things Uncle Ray is doing. We are very close as they see me as family now. This is why I share the beautiful verse from 1 Corinthians 1:10
Please consider being a part of this outreach. It is very special to be able to reach deep into Pakistan with the gospel and see things growing. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
