Greetings in His Holy Name,
When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth? I know HE will find me faithful, He will find my 10 faithful witnesses faithful and I pray all of you are striving to go by faith in these evil days. We must persevere, stand up to the attacks of the devil and remain faithful to His word, His work and His will.
As I send this beautiful picture of me holding hands with Jiang Jia Yi. I sang two songs to her and she smiled the whole time. (Jesus Loves me and This World Is Not My Home) I realized I have been fighting for this 6 year old girl for 6 straight months. I have seen her grandmother come to know Christ, her dad and mom saved and growing and studying every single day either by phone or when I visit the hospital. I fought through several times the doctors, nurses and entire hospital staff wanted to "discontinue treatment" and thought she was a lost cause. Even now, the hospital doesn't want to deal with the parents and the girl as the bill is over 50,000 USD! Standing up for life in a place where so many lives are discarded demands someone faithful 24 hours a day. I must say though, He has placed me well, God has had me doing it for over 20 years. I began helping with a "semi-private orphanage" and leading 13 of those orphans to Christ,taking the kids out in a van, studying often and even having church with them every Sunday for at least 4 years. It was long enough to see all the kids trust in Christ and love to worship. Then the evil attacks began and the "unfaithful" of this world shut me out of that orphanage. It was then I began to pray about "reinventing the wheel of rescue" for abandoned babies and God used me to save 16 children. Although 6 would die of various sicknesses, they died knowing someone loved them, prayed with them and gave them as much joy as was possible with their conditions. Pictures by the hundreds, as well as videos show this to be absolutely true. It always amazed me to show love to terminally ill babies and in their horrible suffering, their faces would beam with joy as I loved them greatly.
God used me to be faithful to love, lead to Christ, medically treat, educate well and discipline properly 10 of the orphans who I know are still holding to what they were taught, even though it is over 500 days of no direct contact. God wants us to be faithful. I think of how David was in the field caring for the sheep, quietly pleasing the LORD with his hard work of protecting and nurturing those lovely lambs. I also think of the words to Peter, "Tend my lambs", and know this is what God requires of me, HE doesn't expect me to defeat the formidable enemies here, He doesn't expect me to outsmart them either. I do what I can and I now HE is pleased with us being faithful with our own bible study, prayers of repentance, petitions for many others, and hard work in serving others with both the truth of God's word and a Christ-like love in helping in any way we can.
As I woke up this morning, praying through my prayer list as usual and begging especially for the 10 Christian orphan children. I then ventured out as usual to "go the extra mile" to see Jiang Jia Yi at the hospital for the 6th straight month. I know for a fact, she would be dead if I did not fight for her and her parents. I also know that Gao Wen Ying would be dead if I did not fight for her life when they discontinued treatment on her. It is also safe to say that most of the 16 severe heart condition children would not live a full life. If God did not lay it on my heart to put together the huge plan to bring "The Cardiac Dream Team" to Beijing none of this would be possible. It also took your prayers and financial support. Giving is an important part of serving.
So for now dear friends, God is calling us to be faithful, be vigilant, be holy and be ready in season and out of season to preach the word. Amen?! I know it is very hard for me to continue to be faithful knowing my most special little family is suffering persecution and yet I know they are growing in His word, prayer and learning Chinese well. HE knows what He is doing and I also know HIS timing is perfect. Amen?!
I close with a great verse from 1 Samuel 14:6
"And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the Lord will work for us: for there is no restraint to the Lord to save by many or by few."
Uncle Ray and the 10 few little ones, pray for Gold Flower and Gold Bar and even Gold Egg as well as many more orphans I am trusting God will allow me to serve.
