"Why do you say, O Jacob, and assert, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”? Isaiah 40:27
Hello again dear Christian friends,
As I continue to work toward adopting the 10 Chinese children, it would seem that virtually everything is impossible. Thank you for praying about the questions and forms that I am working on and will be sending them back to WACAP.
God really spoke to me and comforted me through my reading of Isaiah 40:26-31. Allow me to expound upon how God spoke to me and comforted me through this beautiful passage. It is also a prayer of mine as I continue to do what I can to restore the 10 children to me as their Christian guardian.
God reminded me from verse 26 that I just need to go out in the night sky and see the stars and know that just as HE leads, names and cares for each star, His greatness and strength of His power is sufficient and He would never leave these 10 lovely orphans to be continually oppressed and persecuted.
"Lift up your eyes on high
And see who has created these stars,
The One who leads forth their host by number,
He calls them all by name;
Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power,
Not one of them is missing."
Moving on to verse 27, God rebuked me by having me put my name and the names of others doubting in this effort. Allow me to take liberty to replace the names of Jacob and Israel for you and me.
"Why do you say, O Ray, and assert, O Ray supporters,
“My way is hidden from the Lord,
And the justice due me escapes the notice of my God”?
Our loving God sees the injustice, He sees the kids tears, HE sees our hearts desires and it is only His timing that leaves questions unanswered.
Verse 28 reminds us of His word, His promises and His caring heart and that He is not indifferent or weary of helping us. His understanding is
enigmatic, mysterious, unreadable, inexplicable, unexplainable, incomprehensible, impenetrable, unfathomable, and unknowable; and yet HE reveals His will to us through His word and prayer. Keep up the prayer and be sure to spend quality time in God's word.
"Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth
Does not become weary or tired.
His understanding is inscrutable."
Verses 29 through 31 are my prayers for Blaza, Hannah, David, James, Rebekah, John John, Joanna, Sarah, Joseph and Deborah. They need strength to continue to hope, they (like me) are weary and tired at times and we all stumble badly, yet as the eagles I regularly observe in my days in Alaska, mount up with renewed strength and soar to God's glory.
"He gives strength to the weary,
And to him who lacks might He increases power.
30 Though youths grow weary and tired,
And vigorous young men stumble badly,
31 Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary."
I talked with Samuel and he told me that grandma Guo is doing what I asked her to do and has continued to visit the gate to keep getting word to the kids that uncle Ray is working on getting them back. Maggie also called the Civil government and she told me the reason the kids have not been moved to the State run orphanage is that the facility is being "remodeled". The leaders are working on the hu kou's ( household registry certificate) for the kids and this is the first step in adoption as the children need some form of identification papers to get the process going. Pray for me as I am working on the WACAP forms and questions.
Pray the leaders will follow through with their promises to me.
Thank you again for your support and prayers. Enclosed is a picture of grandma Guo at the gate (my backpack is hanging on the sign and I am taking the picture). Pray for her to have strength and blessing in helping get word to the children.
