Greetings dear Christians friends,
Although it hasn't been easy to have Gold Flower and Gold Bar taken, there is not much I can do with fighting a system like this, not to mention the children do have parents. Even though the parents don't really care nor have the ability to care for the children, they can very easily be "paid off" to hand them to who ever gives the most money. I trust in the LORD on all this stuff and all of you know I could never pay into the corruption of using money and gifts to "get my way" or worse for some "get God's way" done. Without mentioning names again, there are plenty of "Christian workers" here who have no problem with "buying" into the system and doing things that are either an outright lie or at "best" deceptive.
In my last email I stated that most of my people and myself included believe Blaza, Hannah, David, James, Rebekah, John John, Joanna, Sarah, Joseph and Deborah all need to just get out of this country all together, or at least go to Hong Kong. We all believe that grandma Guo should also go with me and the kids as there is no way they will ever be able to go into society with how they have been treated in the "protection" center and knowing they were raised by me in a solid homeschooling Christian curriculum, they want to go back to that. Learning Chinese is great but that is not where their hearts are. Please pray as I continue to put together possibilities of getting them out of this city and better yet to the US where they really want to be.
I do believe this is also best for the government here too. There is no way they are going to let them out where people, and especially the press, will ask them. Can the leaders afford to have them talk about what has happened to them in that virtual prison? No way. They will just continue to keep them locked down until they change them into what they think they should have been in the first place. This is not realistic but they will continue to push their stubborn ways. It ain't going to work. Even keeping the kids locked down until they are all adults is not an option, where to they go from there??? Do they go to actual prisons? These are not criminal kids and neither is their uncle Ray, nor their grandma Guo.
As for "Dr" Rachel H and Mrs. Master degree in Sociology Melody "Rat" Zhang, their social counseling skills have just made matters worse. Can you just picture that scene when the kids realized they were lied to by all those nut cases and the kids were just furious. Remember, they grew up with me who always tells them the truth, even when it doesn't always make them happy. They are not used to being lied to, now they live with it on a constant basis surrounded by people who "at best" only believe in "relative" truth.
I am going to be using these next few months to do what I can to get in contact with important people (especially leaders) and discuss what are the only real options and would be best for all parties. Pray all of us have wisdom and are willing to do what is best for the kids. It doesn't surprise me that no one respects the 10 orphan children's opinions, I know how the culture and system treats children, especially orphans. After all, what do they know anyway? At least this is the disrespect I see on a daily basis as I have worked closely with orphans for over 20 years.
On the "Goose and Duck Ranch" idea, I still want to put the plan together. I just see the 10 eventually going to the US. To use media and leaders comments here, "It is too sensitive" to deal with. What they mean is that there is too much risk of exposure of more things they don't want to deal with. Obviously these kids can speak fluently in both Chinese and English. Isn't it amazing that such talented, lovely kids can be treated like they are hardened criminals and pose risks to important people and their positions??? Is that a joke or what? No my friends, saving face is paramount to most here, and especially those who are supposed to have the "prettiest" and "smartest" faces.
We are going to get through this. I know some of you are "shell shocked" with what happened to Gold Flower and Gold Bar but at least I know the government will once again place huge importance on making sure they get the best of care. I was just joking today to grandma Guo and Maggie and said this, "Hey, I just have to go and touch all 600,000 to a million orphans in China and they will all automatically get the best of care. As long as uncle Ray had any contact with them, the government will make extra effort to "out do me". Strange as it sounds, I really believe it would work as long as I could "leave a trail" of evidence that I was involved with all the orphans lives.
Let me explain all this in simple biblical terms. God is love, they have not God, they can not show love. We as Christians show love, they can only attempt to "steal" love. God can't be stolen and His glory is reserved for HIMSELF alone. Period.
Grandma Guo and Maggie went with me to the hospital where Phoebe's body is still being held to make more progress in finalizing that process. Keep praying for us, we only want to have closure and that done properly.
I later then went to see Jiang Jia Yi and once again gave her a new soft squeeze ball and she loved it. Enclosed are some pictures of her playing and laughing with the ball in hand. She was throwing up the last few days but today she is doing great. I also purchased genuine baby wipes and had them throw out the cheap ones that do not disinfect.
It is such a blessing to know that if I did not stay the course for this lovely girl, she would have died several times. The most dangerous time was when I was in the States and if you remember, they discontinued her medications and were just going to let her die. It happens every day in this world, and unfortunately even there. We fight for every life and anyone who knows the stories of the 24 surgeries in 2005, or the 16 rescued by me, or last Octobers 16 open heart surgeries, many if not all would be dead today. Praise God for life! Amen?!
