Expenses keep piling up and yet I truly believe God has laid it upon my heart to be a source of financial help to these unfortunate orphans. I want to begin with some great news about Jiang Jia Yi. She is starting to smile and laugh at times when her dad jokes and he let's her tickle his ear and she smiles so pretty. Enclosed is a picture of her smiling as her dad has her hand on his ear to tickle him. I also showed Director Dr.Li that Jiang Jia Yi can see. I showed him how she responds to my hand coming close to her eyes and each time it causes her to blink as my hand approaches. All these changes are milestones and thank you so much for prayer.
Dr.Li also took this meeting for an opportunity to take me to his office and we discussed Dr.Novick, the 16 surgeries and also the expenses of Jiang Jia Yi. He was very impressed with how I continued to encourage his team with Gao Wen Ying and how unlikely her recovery had been. She was truly a miracle and I also told Dr.Li that Jiang Jia Yi is also and she will continue to recover. He said to me that she can not leave the Children's Hospital until her 300,000 RMB bill is paid. He said she should be moved to a Navy hospital that has several Hyperbaric chambers to treat her and also she will need an entire massage treatment to help her continue to recover. He asked me to discuss the plans with the parents and try to come up with the 50 thousand plus dollars before she can be released from the present hospital.
I can only let all of you know to pray about this and that God will help me come up with a way to help out. All this is much too great for me to even begin to help. As some of you may know, I really feel strongly that God has me here to help her and her parents. They are doing so well spiritually and are very faithful each day to study with me by phone as they both have to switch day and night to watch Jiang Jia Yi.
After 452 days from Phoebe's death and also when I saw the 10 children last, I went once again to the Children's Capital Hospital where Phoebe's body is still being held. I asked grandma Guo to go with me and we went up to the office of the morgue and they once again said they are hoping to release the body soon. They told us once again that they can not release the body until we have sufficient paper work. At least this time they put together a list of 3 documents we will need. This stuff is simply crazy and I know some of you have said in the past that "Phoebe is with the Lord and the body is not that big of an issue." I understand these comments but I want to do this right and I know God has a plan for the 10 and I also believe that Phoebe's body is being held for something else God is doing. I tell you though, it really tests my patience and you can only imagine how much self control you have to have to talk with officials both in the hospital and other relevant agencies. The system is such a joke and has so little respect for anything decent. I refuse to allow this little girl's body and the entire situation just to get "left behind".
Please pray that "pieces of God's beautiful puzzle" begin to fit and come together. I know it is coming, there is no way it can continue to be so crazy.
Recently I met a man from Rome, Italy and his wife is a lawyer from Latvia. They are really making effort to help me. We are going to discuss using a "3rd party" to work to help the 10 orphan children. Pray we can see some success.
On the "Goose and Duck Ranch" plans, keep this in prayer. I am hoping to find someone who is interested in purchasing the property and business and see the value of my Clinic and Hospital plans as well as focused on special treatment for orphans.
I was reading in Exodus 5 through 8 and it became clear to me that God is using this to not only humble people but also to show His power and glory.
"But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart that I may multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt." Exodus 7:3
It is interesting to note that 10 times Pharaoh hardened his heart and the word of God also records that the LORD also hardened Pharaoh's heart 10 times.
Continue to pray that God will "Let His people go" from that horrible place. For now we can continue to pray they learn Chinese well and that they hold out hope that we will get them out of that place.
On Sunday as usual, I went to the gate with grandma and talked with the resident leader. We talked about Joanna and her surgeries and I was informed she is going to have a third surgery soon. I knew this because through my sources, Joanna would need at least 3 surgeries. It is amazing how much money they are putting into this and yet those 3 orphan boys who needed heart surgeries were left for 13 years with no help. I get the fact, these kids were cared for by Uncle Ray, the ugly American, so I know this makes them special. The "Cat and Mouse" game of who can do the most I guess will continue. At least the "Face Saving game" is helping the kids health. It is sad though that there are so many orphans that just waste away in State run orphanages with little to no help. Pray they can see the value of allowing me to do what I do so well. You would think they would want to "dump" the problem kids on me but the pride is just too great to "bow down" to my abilities.
All this seems impossible to overcome, I guess Moses and the Israelite's felt that way too through the desert wanderings and especially as they stood on the Red Sea shore line with the Egyptian army fast on their heals. Please LORD, "Part the Red Sea again!" And trust me, this "Sea" is not only Red with blood but also Red with miles and miles of tape."
