Inalienable rights.

Greetings and Happy 4th of July to all my dear Christian friends,

My prayer for all of you is that God will help you to pray and appreciate all God has done for you through blessing us in this great land we call America.

I want to share how important the word "inalienable" is to us and how we need to understand it's meaning. Here is a list of ways to properly understand what our founding fathers really meant.

Its most famous use is in the Declaration of Independence, which says people have unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

To understand the origin of the word unalienable, we can look at the root, alien, which comes from the Latin alienus, meaning "of or belonging to another."

The prefix un or "not," and the suffix -able providing the idea of capability. Therefore, we understand it to mean “not able to be denied", or as the adjective "inalienable" to mean incapable of being repudiated or transferred to another.

"Unalienable" or "inalienable are interchangeable in meaning.

These are absolute rights which can only be given to us from an Absolute Creator and could never be given, nor taken, by man under any circumstances. These rights are non-negotiable, can never be transferred to another, and are intrinsic to each individual. This is what our Founding Fathers meant for themselves and for future generations. Praise God for their amazing wisdom and intellect to pen such profound words. Amen?!

For me in working with the lives of the dear orphan children of China, these words have a special meaning as life is mentioned first and shows the godly wisdom our Founding Fathers. They understood that without life, there could never be liberty nor the pursuit of happiness. Praise God for this God given privilege. Amen?! As I reflect on this beautiful documents meaning to all of us, I am reminded of what has been accomplished this last year with the success of all 16 very difficult open heart surgeries on the children. Even Jiang Jia Yi can now check out of the hospital, as she has improved to where she does not need medical assistance. She will continue to recover and can do this at home with her lovely parents. Praise God to be a part of what God does to show us His great love and concern for us and values us eternally, not only with health in this life but also blesses us with the opportunity to live with Him for eternity through Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray for me and the process of adoption and that those involved officially will continue to allow the children to come to the US. There is much to do on this side of the globe and yet I need to see those in China continue to work toward doing what the children want for their lives. The inalienable rights of these 10 lovely orphans must be honored. Thank you for praying.

Enclosed is a picture of my favorite hand written sign at the "Pro-Life" rally in Washington DC this last January.

"It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
It is not for kings to drink wine,
Or for rulers to desire strong drink,
For they will drink and forget what is decreed,
And pervert the rights of all the afflicted."    Proverbs 31:4,5

Ray and the 10, "Da Boys" who really need our prayer and also the "Gold kids" and many more orphans to come.

And then I heard the voice of the Master:
    "Whom shall I send?
    Who will go for us?"
    I spoke up,
    "I'll go.
    Send me!"
