Happy Chinese New Year dear Christian brothers and sisters!
As Chinese celebrate all across the world, please remember to pray for them to turn to Jesus Christ for salvation from sin and put their trust in the only hope available to mankind. The Chinese people, like many other nations, look to financial success and good health to be the blessings they seek. We know this is only temporary and at best, has wings. We will no doubt see a year of financial instability all across the world in 2016. I am not a "gloom and doom" individual but this world is coming to a close and we need to focus more and more on what we can do to get the gospel out, show the love of Christ and do what we can to save many before it is too late.
I have an aggressive plan of how I can reach more for Christ and especially orphans. There is no doubt in my mind that God never takes away from us, HE only gives. Even when it appears He is taking something or someone away from us, it is to give us more. Eternity must be our focus. I know God is preparing Blaza, David, Hannah, James, Rebekah, John John, Joanna, Sarah, Joseph and Deborah to do more for God. He is going to use them in special ways, and indeed even now they are being used as a mighty witness in the virtual prison house they have lived for the past 430 days. The workers have been impressed with their faith in Christ, their hard work in learning Chinese and their love for the Lord and also for me as a father. It is truly hard for me to know the children hate being in this hell hole. We really do need to take seriously Hebrews 13:3 and Matthew 25:36,43
"Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body."
"naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’"
"I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’
Please my dear Christian friends, come to the 10 orphan children in prayer and support. It can not be easy for anyone to be held against their will for so long, let alone lovely Christian orphan children. We can't keep "blaming Satan" for the plight we fight. I know God wants us to beg Him to help. He is the Father of the fatherless, the protector of the orphan and in Him the orphan finds mercy. He is teaching us to be compassionate, to be givers, to be vigilant and to keep knocking, keep seeking and by all means to keep holding out hope. Amen?!!
I must admit, this entire struggle has been extremely challenging especially as I know and continue to read and believe so many promises that apply directly to the children and yet it appears God is aloof. Job struggled with this and so have many throughout the bible. What makes it particularly hard for me is I am a free man, when I think of how hard it is for these lovely kids to be trapped in a few buildings with nothing but a small courtyard to kick a soccer ball around, to not be able to see the people that have loved them the most, to eat the same old commune slop dished out day after day and worse, to be abused at times by people claiming to work at this "Salvation and Protection Center for Minors".
I have faced persecution many times in my years but nothing is worse that being held outside a gate where my lovely children are being held against their will. I maintain respect and kindness with any of the workers I talked to outside the gate. I hear the same old standard line of "The children are doing well" and "You don't need to come here anymore". It is very difficult to continue to be lied to and know they have said very little of value about the kids. Knowing the children have been taught in the "Deuteronomy 6:4-6" commandments of love of God, saturation in God's word and diligence with obedience, I know they are strong although they are looked at as the weak and vulnerable. Oh the wisdom of God in confounding the mighty of this world. Oh the power of gentle loving children over the worldly weapons of what is falsely called education.
I have confidence these little warriors have been in some amazing debates over everything pertaining to life and eternal value. I am confident those in charge of "changing" the kids initially thought it was simply "uncle Ray propaganda" that formed their positions. Now after 430 days of no contact with uncle Ray, those in leadership know clearly the children's belief is genuine and they have no doubt, faith in Christ is real. I say all this by faith believing in the power of God's word and the efficacious moving of the Spirit of God in the affairs of men and children.
So my dear Christian friends, pray as I return to China this week. It will no doubt be an exciting year. I praise God He has counted me worthy to serve Him, I thank God He has used me to rescue, heal,lead and love abandoned orphans.
