Greetings and Happy Father's Day to all you great dads out there!
I am looking forward to actually being called dad by the kids, please pray for me and the plans. Maggie is going in tomorrow morning again to "push" the process to move faster, as my time is running out for going back to the US. I want to be able to see the kids before I leave and hopefully a couple of times at least. We have much to catch up on and discuss. I will no doubt stay away from "sensitive" issues and concentrate on rejoicing that the Lord has brought us back together and Lord willing forever. Amen?!
According to Maggie, the leaders had two important letters that needed to be exchanged and now there are all in place. I am anticipating things happening quickly from this point on but then again, things don't usually happen fast here. We can pray however for God to bring about what is talked about in the Luke 18:8 for the widow...."I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly."
On another beautiful story, I want to go back to when Lu Ya Ming prayed to receive Christ the other day. When I was sharing the gospel again to him so he could pray intelligently to repent and receive Christ, it was amazing how the other boys were helping him with what to say and how to pray and making sure he repented and mentioned Jesus' Name and all of them wanted to get involved with making sure Lu Ya Ming prayed according to God's word. Isn't it beautiful how young children who believe grow so fast?! Oh God, give us that drive to want to grow faster! I can't wait for a day when these 5 Christian orphan boys get to meet my 10. I hope they can meet someday soon.
Keep my expenses in prayer. I can see some major issues in the process of adopting the 10 together, not just finances but also exceptions in paper work and we can only hope "reinventing the wheel" is still possible. With God everything is possible. Right?!
I got some information on "The Gold Kids" but I am going to wait until I can confirm things better to say anything. It doesn't look good but I know God has His Hand on them too.
Jiang Jia Yi is doing much better but doesn't like to have the protein drink added to what she drinks. I told the parents to add it to her food carefully but to make sure she gets it, she needs to build muscle mass. As for their hospital expenses, I only told them the truth and said I can only do so much. We all need to pray for miraculous help to cover that huge bill. Almost every week I get them some money for food and rent and also have them take in some money toward the hospital bill. It is challenging to me but I feel a genuine sense of obligation to these new Christians family member. Amen?!
Keep praying for the 10 to get word that we visited today again. Grandma, Samuel and I all went to the gate and were able to catch 4 or 5 workers who were coming out and told them to say hi to the kids. They all pretty much just nod their heads and keep walking but like Samuel said, "My people can't keep secrets, they just have to tell as many people as they are not allowed to tell." I just laugh at how frank Samuel is about his own people. He went back to Shen Zhen and called me from down South just now.
Ray and the 10 and "Da Boys" and many more orphans to come. The Sierra Leone project is coming together, I will put together some changes to the website soon. Love to all there and again Happy Father's Day.
