Greetings again dear Christian prayer and support team,
I have been blessed to see the power of love in the lives of so many children, especially orphan children. We must all remember that we were born into this word as orphans and it is only through the blood of Christ and His sacrificial life and our trust in Him that allows us to be adopted into the family of God. We all now cry out to our Father, "Abba Father!". Romans 8:15
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."
As I reflect back on these past 12 years there are so many examples of God's love toward me and the orphans and He has no doubt used me in many ways to demonstrate His loving kindness. Here are just a few examples in written form and with so many pictures on the website, you can all see the thousands of words in picture form.
1. God loved over 16 abandoned, orphan, handicapped children and used me to rescue them, care for them from just days old and walk most of them through multiple surgeries to restore them to perfect health.
2. God showed His love toward the kids in providing a Christian education even in the midst of dangers and opposition, yet the kids love Jesus, hold firmly to His word and I believe even after 446 days of captivity continue to read God's word daily, pray and worship on Sunday, holding out hope of being returned to me.
3. God has used me and also many of you to give faithfully to provide finances to adequately provide for all these lovely children. We can see clearly in Matthew 25:35-40 that when we help these children, we are doing it to Jesus Himself and for Him.
"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’"
I will continue to defend "the least of the brothers of the Lord" by fighting for these little defenseless orphans. God will eventually bring about justice quickly but for now He is building into my life and the kids life a trust that we could only learn through adversity. Amen?! Or in the words from James 1:12
"Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."
God help me and the kids to understand the great rewards in heaven but at the same time hold out hope that He will bless us yet in this life to be restored to fellowship, prayer and corporate worship again.
Also in James 5:11 we can see that Job really was right and patient as he cried out to the Lord constantly for help knowing God was making him patiently wait.
"We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful."
Contrary to some false teaching on the reasons for Job's arguments, He really was righteous in God's eyes and was a man of great patience and was eventually blessed greatly for his faith.
Please pray for me and Blaza and David and Hannah and James and Rebekah and John John and Joanna and Sarah and Joseph and little Deborah, they really need our prayers to be patient and strong.
In closing, it has been a blessing to see Jiang Jia Yi doing better and we need to continue to pray for more progress. She is moving more and more and even scratches her nose as she can feel the tube in her nostril. This is a good sign as she is conscious of her surroundings.
I also have been in contact with the three older orphan boys. They really want me to get more involved with their lives but I am not sure how to deal with that "system" either.
As for "Mean Show", she is doing fine and I want to make a trip to go see her and hopefully meet and witness to the parents.
May God continue to bless our efforts. Pray for me as I put together more plans and work with a lawyer and my people here to get things written in Chinese.
Ray+10+ The Gold kids and many more James 1:27 till He returns.
