Greetings again dear Christians friends,
We had a wonderful Sunday and later in the afternoon I went, as usual, with grandma Guo to go to the gate of the "Protection center" and talked with the resident leader about the 10 orphans. As has been the case so many times, there was a new guard and a new man came out who is now in charge of things on Saturday and Sunday.
I can only hope that all these changes will somehow benefit me and the kids. This new resident temporary leader was much more talkative that leaders in the past. I learned much more than I had in months before. I asked questions about the children and their activities and this is what I learned.
They do not have any contact with any other children in the facility. They have their own chef, their own teacher and do not eat with the rest of the children in the facility. They live in their own room and do not travel out of the facility much, if at all.
As to the future of the lovely 10 Christians orphans being held against their will, we need to put more serious prayer into this. The same is true for our nation, right? Money isn't going to do it, connections and corrupt ways are not going to do it here for me and just waiting (with no prayer) is a waste of time.
Next week I am planning to go and visit with "Mean Show", try to meet her new parents and also the leader of the area, and hopefully build a stronger relationship with the orphanage where this little 7 month old girl was brought from. If you remember, I asked the doctors here to find me orphan children to do heart surgeries on and even look far out of Beijing, I will pay for them to come. God brought me this little girl, Min Xiu (Mean Show as you all know to pronounce her name.) I made the commitment to pay all her bills, run the risks of having her surgery. Dr.Novick briefed me on the difficulty, huge expense and how few doctors could do her surgery. God blessed all those efforts and I want to see how she is doing and use the opportunity to witness to a new group of people. Pray as I make preparations to travel there with grandma next week. I take her because I want her to try to meet the parents.
Keep the plans with the "Goose and Duck Ranch" in prayer. I got some really good advice from a very successful businessman and he suggested to just rent a building and focus on eyes, ears and nose doctors. Heart surgeries are way too risky and just eye issues are a huge problem in China and plenty of orphans with those issues too.
Thanks again for the prayers and support. I still want to help with the expenses for Jiang Jia Yi, my car has to be "junked" due to regulations, rent, personal expenses and preparations for renting a building in the "Goose and Duck Ranch" area are all coming up.
